| Abstract: | From july 1996 until july 1997 six Dutch universities worked together in the project DEGREE (Dissemination of Electronic GREy files on Economics). Objectives of the project were: electronic production, disclosure and availablity via WWW of the full text of their research memoranda on economics and business economics. Procedures, standards, formats, etc. were analysed, discussed and established. This common effort resulted in a national WWW homepage for working papers on economics, with links to local WWW servers where the full text documents are stored. Structural continuation of the project is based on agreements between the DEGREE participants. In an international scope, cooperation with WoPEc is established. This paper will describe the way in which the project DEGREE was set up, carried out and build into an interesting WWW site. |
